We reclaim this light, warm-colored and rare wood for customers who desire a truly special floor. The 1905 blight wiped out most of these trees from our landscape; but, before they were completely obliterated, a number of enterprising builders used them to build barns and houses throughout the Appalachian mountain chain. We continue to find these rare planks from Maine to Georgia and give them new life as flooring. Our Antique American Chestnut can sometimes include occasional knots, nail holes and worm holes that all add to the fascinating character of the wood.
